Rabbi in the community

-  Spoke at Kosher Meal Site “Ask the Rabbi” at JCC RI

- Kesher Summit – rabbis and social workers are meeting with additional JFS staff to educate on synagogue life and needs of synagogue members

-  Met with BJE staff about Special Needs programming.   The BJE of RI has been awarded a grant form the JFRI to place a Special Needs Coordinator in our synagogue for 6 hours per week for the coming year.  I have met with staff members to begin crafting a job description.

-Is the Chair of the Board Development Committee of JFS.

-Offered the D’var torah for the JFRI annual meeting (at which she received the The Merrill L. Hassenfeld Leadership in Community Service Award!)

-Regularly meets w/area Synagogues.

-Met with Kat Wright, the new Executive Director of Attleboro Area Council of Churches to make some connections. 

-Reached out to  our neighbors across the street.  They may be hosting a family-kitchen once per month and we would be interested in learning more about that.

-Is on the RRA Executive Committee

-Periodically writes articles forthe Sun Chronicle in Attleboro, MA (http://agudasma.org/blogs/?p=259) and http://www.thesunchronicle.com/articles/2010/05/12/columns/7344469.txt
